Jedes Projekt kommt irgendwann zu einem Abschluss. Um LMSNews.com war es schon in letzter Zeit sehr ruhig geworden. Der Grund: Die beiden Studenten-Initiatoren suchen nach neuen Herausforderungen. Leider gelang es nicht, im letzten Halbjahr Übernahme-Kandidaten für das Projekt zu gewinnen. Die sehr schwierige finanzielle Lage bei einem so spezifischen Projekt wie LMSNews.com erschwerte den Fortbestand des Portals zusätzlich.

Das soll uns (und unsere Leser) jedoch nicht traurig stimmen: LMSNews.com war ein wichtiges und lehrreiches Studentenprojekt. Alle bisher verfassten Texte bleiben bis auf weiteres auf diesem Server als Archiv vorhanden. Die aus LMSNews.com gewonnenen Erfahrungen und Ergebnisse wendet die Uni Augsburg jetzt in einem eigenen Lehrplattform Projekt an.

Auch die Entwicklung bei dotLRN geht weiter. Wer sich noch nicht die letzte Version besorgt hat, kann dies nun auf der Homepage nachholen:

Dokeos auf der Online Educa 2007

Das Dokeos-Team wird an der Online Educa 2007 teilnehmen.

"Online Educa Berlin 2007 is set to be the key event for the international technology-supported learning and training industry.

Thomas De Praetere, founder of Dokeos, will participate in the Open Standards pannel. And Georg Altendorfer will present Dokeos Germany."

Präsentationen der Stud.IP Tagung online

Die Stud.IP Tagung 2007 ist nun auf der offiziellen Seite hinterlegt. Dort heißt es "Aufzeichnungen und Präsentationen Im Bereich "Tagung" stehen nun alle freigegebenen Präsentationen der Tagungsreferentinnen und -referenten zur Verfügung. Als besonderen Service stellt die SUB und das ZEM der Universität Göttingen die Aufzeichungen der Plenumssitzungen im Realmedia-Format zur Verfügung."

Stabile Version 1.8.7. veröffentlicht

Eine neue Version von Claroline ist verfügbar:

"The Claroline team is proud to announce a new release of the Claroline 1.8 stable version.

As always, bug fixes, refactoring, new features. We've got it all.

The major modifications are :

* Improvement of the import/export of learning path and exercises.
* Possibility to use a secure SMTP.
* Improvement of single sign-on system : Shibboleth and CAS.
* Integration of Claroline with LCS communication server (fr).
* Several bugs correction with the browser internet explorer 7."

Sakai Konferenz an der Canberra-Universität

Dokeos 1.8.2 released

A bugfixing release to polish and finetune Dokeos 1.8 on groups management, SCORM export, SCORM display (full screen mode), open question tests integration in learning paths, reporting on learners and course maintenance.

Claroline 1.8.5 ist da!

"The Claroline team is pleased to announce the fifth update of the stable version of Claroline 1.8.Image

This update introduces a new export functionality in the users tool to obtain the CSV user list of the course.

In addition of bug fixes we have also added Shibboleth SSO (from Daniel Streiff) and LCS SSO (from Olivier Lécluse) in the authentication system.
